Association Agreement with Jordan

Jordan
Convention establishing a free trade area between Tunisia and Jordan signed on 22/04/1998 and entered into force in 1999.

This agreement provides for the total dismantling of customs duties and taxes with equivalent effect on products traded between the two countries during a transitional period which has come to an end.

Association Agreement with Libya

Libya
Convention establishing a free trade area between Tunisia and Libya signed on 14/06/2001 and entered into force on 19/02/2002.

This agreement provides for the total exemption from customs duties and taxes with equivalent effects of all products exchanged between the two countries.

Association Agreement with Turkey

Turkey
Concluded on 25/11/2004 and entered into force on 01/07/2005. All industrial products have been totally exempt since 2005.

Some agricultural products are exempt within the limit of a quota, including dates for export within the limit of 5000 tons.

Association Agreement with Iran

Iran
This preferential trade agreement was signed on January 16, 2007 and entered into force on May 26, 2008.

It provides:

The reduction of the customs tariff for two lists of industrial products, a Tunisian list and an Iranian list according to the degree of transformation of the products, i.e. 50% for raw materials, 40% for semi-finished products and 30% for finished products.
The maintenance in force of the provisions of the Agreement signed on April 23, 2001 which do not interfere with that of the 2007 Agreement.
Possibility of revising this Agreement and in particular of enriching the two lists of products annexed to the said Agreement.
